The Worship Ministry is service ministry of some 90-100 laity servants whose primary focus lies within the sanctuary. We work to support each of the three worship services, so that our pastoral team may call, equip, and send forth the congregation to create disciples for Jesus Christ. Our ministry is to serve, and that service is reflected in six areas: Ushers, Liturgists, Communion Stewards & Severs, Acolytes, Altar Guild & Decor, and Children’s Worship Bags.

Our goals for the upcoming year:

Foundations- Incorporate scripture teachings in all areas of our ministry - so that the task itself is not the focus or the goal. Service inside the sanctuary will be the catalyst for, and a reflection of our service outside of the sanctuary.

 

Walls- Strengthen the congregation’s sense of family and community by involving more “teams” of servants with higher visibility and more over-laps in responsibilities. Involvement in the Worship Ministry should encourage/foster service in the community at large.

 

Roof- At the end of the day, we support the pastoral team, who in turn follow the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. We will measure all that we do in light of that calling “To Make Disciples for Jesus Christ”.
