  Adam Thornton ~ Youth Director

The force is strong with this one…

If you know Adam, then you know that the only thing bigger than his love of Star Wars is his love for Jesus. Adam’s great desire is to be a disciple of Jesus and inspire others to do the same.
Adam has been married to Melanie since ’94 and they have 2 awesome children, Lauren and Michael.
When he isn’t watching Star Wars or reading his Bible, Adam likes to play video games with his son or go on a hike, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
Adam has been the Youth Director at DSUMC since February 2006.

  Kevin Fowler ~ Pastoral Assistant

Kevin has served in some form of ministry since 2000 and joined the pastoral team here at DSUMC in July 2008.  He is currently preparing for ordained ministry with the help of Asbury Theological Seminary, the United Methodist system, and the beloved body of Christ here in Dripping Springs.

Kevin and his wife, Shana, were married in 1993 and spent time living in south and central Texas before they settled here in Dripping Springs in 2002. They soon got involved in the community through the church, local schools as well as youth sports. Shana is also on staff at DSUMC and their two children, Jackson, 11, and Grace, 8, keep them very active. They celebrated the wedding of his oldest daughter, Victoria, 23, in 2009. In his free time, Kevin loves to spend time with his family, doing those things they all enjoy – like playing sports, games, seeing movies, listening to & playing music, and rooting for the Longhorns.

The humbling opportunity to love and serve God’s people is a real passion for Kevin. The liberty and freedom he found in Christ is what motivates him to do all he can to build up the Church, nurture and equip the saints, and foster the worship of the Lord.

 Cody Reeves ~ Pastoral Assistant

Hey Cody, "How did you arrive at DSUMC?". Well let me tell you!

I've been in Drippin' for the last 11 years. My wife Shelly and daughter, Katy, moved to Drippin' when Katy was just a few weeks old. In 2000 our son Case was born. After we arrived in Drippin', due to a job change, we searched for a church and landed at First Baptist in Drippin, later on at Grace Point Fellowship and now at DSUMC. We've been attending DSUMC for over 4 years and really enjoy the folks at DSUMC.

At the age of 27 I discovered who Jesus was and what it meant to have a relationship with Him. After this I gave my life to Christ, this happened while I was attending college at SFA in Nacogdoches,Tx. After graduating I moved back to Houston and went to work. Later I met Shelly and married in 1997. I've felt a call to some 'sort' of ministry for a good while. Before arriving at DSUMC I served in several leadership roles and I'm still amazed at what God allows me to do, as others are too! Currently I'm going through the Methodist Ordained Ministry process and trying to discern God's call particularly in the Methodist Church. I'm also on the pastoral team serving with Pastor David, Adam Thorton and Kevin Fowler, a great group of leaders that have a heart for God and truly understand His grace through Christ.   BMC Software is my primary job where I am a Senior QA Analyst for DB2 Utilities.

In my spare time my joys are outside. I like to build stuff, weld stuff, do tractor work, horses, cows, well you get the picture. Our family loves the water too as we are blessed to have a place in Leakey,Tx on the river. Growing up on the coast and now living in the Hill Country causes a bit of separation anxiety, so we try to get to the coast at least once a year. Case my son really likes to fish!  Both Katy and Case keep Shelly and myself going with baseball, softball, basketball and numerous school activities. Shelly loves the schools and spends a lot of time with the kids and teachers at Walnut Springs Elementary.

Our family is very grateful for our Lord first, family, DSUMC, Drippin' and the school district. Growing up in East Houston, WOW, I've come a long ways!
